Leonard via trade terug naar Raptors, Ball en Morant ook getrade

Het NBA Offseason is tot nu toe het offseason van de grote trades. Na de trades van Giannis Antetokoumpo en Julius Randle bleef het daar zeker niet bij. Miles Brides, Lamelo Ball en Ja Morant werden getrade. Als klap op de vuurpijl ook Kawhi Leonard via een trade werd weggestuurd. Een overzicht.

LEONARD NAAR RAPTORS, BALL, BRIDGES EN MORANT OOK GETRADE

Kawhi Leonard is door Los Angeles Clippers getrade met nog een seizoen contract naar Toronto Raptorrs. Hiermee keert hij terug in Toronto. Hij wil volgens geruchten ook met pensioen gaan op de plek waar hij een ring won. In ruil voor Lenoard sturen – om qua contractsalaris uit te komen – Brandon Ingram en Gradey Dick naar Los Angeles samen met twee first round picks, een pick swap en twee second round picks.

Ja Morant is op zijn beurt na veel geruchten nu echter geen speler van Memphis Grizzlies meer. Hij is naar Portland Trail Blazers getrade in ruil voor Jerami Grant en Kris Murray. Hiermee heeft Morant een nieuwe plek waar hij zich hopelijk weer wat meer kan richten op basketbal. Grizzlies zouden ook nog voor Isaiah Stewart naar Memphis halen in een trade met Detroit Pistons in ruil voor drie second round picks.

Dan LaMelo Ball, die van Charlotte Hornets samen met shooter Josh Green naar Minnesota Timberwolves werd gestuurd om daar samen te spelen met Anthony Edwards en Rudy Gobert. In ruil voor hun krijgen Charlotte Hornets naast Naz Reid ook een first round pick, drie first round pick swaps en drie second round picks.

Dan was er nog Miles Bridges. hij werd door Hornets ook weggetrade naar Phoenix Suns in zijn geval samen met een second round en first round pick. In ruil daarvoor krijgt Charlotte naast Grayson Allen ook Roye O’Neale en een second round pick.

EERSTE FREE AGENCY DEALS EEN FEIT, LEBRON JAMES WEG BIJ LAKERS

Dan zijn er ook al wat deals in Free Agency geweest, waarin vooral de schutters tot nu toe in trek zijn. Zo ging Tim Hardaway Jr naar Miami Heat en Keon Ellis naar Brooklyn Nets. Daarnaast was er Luke Kennard naar Phoenix Suns, Dean Wade naar Philadelphia 76ers en Bogdan Bogdanovic naar Houston Rockets.

Toch was het grootste nieuws dat LeBron James niet terug gaat keren naar Los Angeles en zal gaan kiezen uit waarschijnlijk Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat en Cleveland Cavaliers. Bij Warriors en Cavaliers lijkt hij de grootste kans te hebben op een ring, terwijl hij in Miami en Cleveland natuurlijk al een rijke historie heeft. De tijd zal het leren.
